However, a key drawback is that they do not accept walk-ins, which means customers need to schedule appointments in advance. This may be inconvenient for those looking for a more flexible, on-the-spot consultation.
Excellent service for resizing a family heirloom ring
“I was passed down my late Grandad’s ring to use as my wedding ring, but it was far too big for me. I had left things a little late to sort, but I wanted to make sure I got in touch with a local business and I am so glad I found Kevan Scott Goldsmiths.
The customer service, even for a cheap ring resize and clean (to which I am delighted with the result – THANK YOU), has been amazing from start to finish.
Lydia knows exactly how to make a customer feel important and I was met with the same great customer service from Kevan as well when I turned up to collect the ring.
A very friendly local business with some beautiful jewellery on display and I’m sure my wife to be will persuade us to have another visit some time to have a closer look.
If I have anything else I ever need resized again, you already have my business and I’ll be sure to recommend you to friends and family.”

Fantastic experience with personalized service
“We had a fantastic experience today. Even though we were not spending a bunch of money. My fiancé needed a wedding band and was very selective. Everyone was excellent and friendly! Sofia was so informative and friendly there was another nice lady I didn’t get her name (she had blonde hair). Very professional and excellent customer service.”

Consistent excellence in customer service
“As always Goldsmiths go above and beyond with customer service. Approached as soon as arrived by member of staff. Taken to seated area offered beverage of choice. Assistants was knowledgeable, very pleasant and considerate.
Will also point out unlike some other high street jewellers. Goldsmiths does not take percentage of value when having goods valued. Rather a set agreed fee.
Have shopped with Goldsmiths for over 30 yrs. standards always high, always top end service before and after sale”

Bespoke wedding rings crafted with care
“Richard, Melanie & Jennifer @ The Jewellery Works were fantastic in hand-crafting our wedding rings for our upcoming wedding next week.
Despite the short timeline involved from our first contact, they assured us they could create our bespoke rings in time and managed to do so, taking the photos of our initial ideas and turning them into a reality within just a couple of months.
This included doing some last-minute adjustments to sizing before they left to go off on holiday themselves.
Planning a wedding can be a very stressful event whilst juggling suppliers and timelines, and although we we were pretty panicked at times due other suppliers not being on the ball, the team here made sure everything ran like clockwork and the end result was optimal.
Thanks again for all your help!”

Alan’s studio is stunning he spends 1 on 1 time with you in a relaxed atmosphere and keeps you up to date and fully involved in the whole process. Nothing is too much bother for him his jewellery making skills are out of this world and his customer service is first class. We were vey nervous about the whole process as the ring held a lot of sentimental memories for us but Alan made the whole experience seamless. I would highly recommend him. A perfect experience for a lifetime ring
“Alan and Dorothy were absolutely amazing. The advice and support given in such a huge decision was as important as them sharing their beautiful craft with us.
They really cared for the quality of their work and were so helpful in helping decide what materials to use to make sure that Alice’s ring lasts a lifetime but able to create a beautiful design as well.
Alice was absolutely thrilled with the design and quality of the ring, she says it is flawless and turned out amazingly.
We would both like to thank you so much for making such a special moment for us absolutely perfect.
Would highly recommend Alan and Dorothy.”
