The 5 Best Wedding Photographers in Glasgow to Capture Your Happily Ever After

Portfolio and Style: We chose photographers with strong portfolios that showcase natural, emotive shots and a range of styles. Their work has to capture authentic moments and tell each couple’s unique story.

Experience and Expertise: Photographers with over 10 years of wedding experience made our list, as they’re comfortable handling the fast pace and tricky lighting of the day. Experience also means they’re skilled at capturing all the important moments.

Understanding Client Needs: We prioritised photographers who take the time to learn what each couple wants, ensuring a personal touch in their approach. They needed to be flexible and willing to adapt their style to reflect each couple’s vision.

Reliability and Professionalism: We selected photographers known for being reliable—showing up on time, communicating well, and delivering photos as promised.

Value for Investment: Wedding photography is a big investment, so we looked for photographers who offer quality and fair pricing. Those who provide packages with real value and no hidden costs ranked highly in our search.

Comfortable and stress-free photos

“My husband and I are just in love with our wedding photos and could not recommend Fotogenic enough! We spoke with Michael multiple times throughout the booking process and he was incredibly kind and patient. We worked with Bart on the day, and we could not be happier with his work! My husband is incredibly uncomfortable with photos in general but Bart was fantastic. He knew exactly how to get the photos we wanted and make us laugh and enjoy the process as well. Our photos are exactly what we imagined, and our entire extended family are just as in love as we are. To have photos that really capture how our day felt is incomparable, and they are so precious to us.”

Unmatched teamwork

“Michael and Alicja are amazing at what they do! To top that off, they are amazing people too! You absolutely can’t find a better team! The photos and videos turned out way better than I could have ever dreamed. Michael and Alicja listen to your vision of what you want and take it to the next level with their professionalism and expertise- capturing moments of your special day and locking in those moments for a lifetime. Cannot recommend them enough!”

Ewan and Chris started Top Table Photography in 2009 after completing their photography education. They’ve since photographed over 400 weddings, focusing on capturing both the big moments and the smaller, candid ones.

They offer packages like the Photo + Film option, which includes one photographer and one filmmaker. A typical wedding includes up to 1,000 photos and a highlights film lasting 10–15 minutes, with full-day films up to 1 hour and 30 minutes long.

Top Table provides all-day coverage, with no extra charges for overtime, ensuring they stay until the job is done. They also supply a USB with all photos and films, and a private online gallery where friends and family can view and purchase prints.

However, a few downsides to consider are the travel charges for weddings outside the central belt of Scotland. They are also fully booked up to two or three years in advance, so early booking is essential.

  • No extra charges for overtime
  • All-day coverage
  • USB with all photos and films provided

Personalised experience

“Ewan and Chris were absolutely fantastic. When we first inquired with Top Table we had a great meeting with Ewan who took us through the day and what to expect. As we grew closer, Chris, who was our photographer on the day, spoke to us about the group photos and supported us in organising the scheduling of the day. Chris arrived early in the morning for some photos before the ceremony and then was with us throughout the day well into the evening. Throughout, he was so organised and reassuring. Our photos are better than we could have imagined and really capture the day. We are so grateful and highly recommend Top Table to anybody looking for wedding photographers in the future. Thanks again Ewan and Chris!”

Seamless experience and exceptional photography

“We had Top Table do the full works for our wedding – photography and videos, and what a stellar job they did! Throughout the day both Chris and Ewan were buzzing about, taking snaps and recording our big day, and yet it didn’t feel like they were there at all, which of course is a good thing. During individual and group photos, they directed everyone with the utmost professionalism and knew exactly where to be to get the amazing results. Our photos turned out so vivid, rich and captured our best moments extremely well. We are over the moon with the service they provided, and would not hesitate to use again in the future for other events. Thanks again Chris & Ewan!”

Good Luck Wolf Photography, run by Gary and Corinne, specialises in relaxed, natural wedding photography. With over 10 years and 300+ weddings of experience, Gary focuses on capturing candid moments without taking up too much of your time.

Their packages include a free consultation, a highlights reel set to music, and around 750 edited images. Travel is covered within 1.5 hours of Glasgow, with additional charges for longer distances.

You’ll receive an online gallery to share your photos and buy prints or albums. Furthermore, the final images are delivered within 8 weeks, giving you plenty of time to relive the day.

Unfortunately, one downside is that Gary only covers weddings within Scotland, unlike some photographers who will travel to England or overseas. The 8-week wait for image delivery may also feel long for couples eager to see their photos sooner.

Despite this, the easygoing style and minimal posing are a great fit for couples who want to enjoy their day without interruption.

Pros

  • Relaxed, natural photography style
  • Focus on candid moments
  • Free consultation
  • 750+ edited images
  • Online gallery for sharing and prints
  • Travel included within 1.5 hours of Glasgow
  • Fast, 15–20 minute portrait sessions

Cons

  • Only covers weddings within Scotland
  • Image delivery can take up to 8 weeks

Fantastic communication

“Gary was fantastic! He photographed our registry office wedding in August and we couldn’t have asked for more. He knew the exact vibe we wanted, laid back and down to earth, capturing the important people and a lot of natural photos. He was also able to capture some really fun moments and match everyone’s banter! Communication was great, he kept in touch with us in the lead up which was reassuring and really helpful in deciding what we wanted. He also gave us some sneak peak photos the same day which was great! We are so glad we found him and have our amazing photos, we would 100% recommend!”

– Beki Carson Hill, Google Review

Perfectly authentic

“We were recommended Gary by our celebrant, who could not have got it more spot on; we looked at his portfolio and knew he was the photographer for us. Our own photos are a perfect reflection of us and our day – we’ve looked through the photos so many times already! Importantly, they’re authentic to us and how we spent our day, and they’re not forced!

We eloped without guests, so having someone relaxed and fun like Gary there really made a difference to our day! He was able to join in with the banter of the day, so we felt like we had a couple of pals there instead of just being our celebrant and photographer!

Gary was even generous enough to provide a couple of sneak peeks to soften the blow of telling our loved ones about our secret elopement.

10/10 – we’ve already been thinking of excuses to take more cool photos with him in the future!!”

“We couldn’t have asked for a better photographer than David Grant Simpson for our wedding at ‘The Traitors’ Ardross Castle in August 2024! David brought a warm, friendly presence that immediately put us at ease and brought an effortless energy to every moment he captured. His engaging and professional approach was evident from start to finish, and he felt like a natural part of our celebration, interacting with our guests in such a genuine way that everyone adored him.

Unforgettable experience and incredible photos

“We had the pleasure of choosing David for our wedding photos in Scotland, and what a pleasure it was! From start to finish, David responded promptly to our emails and kept the lines of communication open, despite the thousands of miles that separate us. Coordination for the event went very smoothly, and David was able to make appropriate recommendations, while remaining attentive to what we wanted for our elopement wedding. On the big day, it was almost like meeting a friend; friendly, smiling and cheerful, he put us at ease from the very first seconds. We really liked his style when it came to taking photos, as he is very discreet, which gave us the impression of being alone and therefore more at ease. He also knew how to guide us when the time came.

For the short evening we spent with David, we laughed, exchanged stories about Scottish culture and even shared a drink. When we received our photos, we were shocked! Such talent! The photos exceeded our expectations. It’s fascinating to see how David knows how to capture the moment in his images, the little magical moment that makes all his photos unique. David is not only an exceptional photographer (the photos speak for themselves), he’s an incredible person. We are very fortunate to have chosen him to accompany us on this unique day. We would recommend his exceptional services to anyone.”

Cherished memories captured

“John was one of the best parts of our wedding day, as well as being a helpful resource during our wedding planning process and bringing us photos we will cherish for a lifetime! His documentary photography style, paired with his many years of experience, led to a treasure trove of photos that captured the emotion of the day and who we are as a couple.

He has immense range, making any of Scotland’s many types of weather into breathtaking, cinematic photos. We were delighted to find that even in the bright sunshine—a bride’s dream and photographer’s nightmare—he was able to plan the day in a way which gave us the best of the lighting, including a short hilltop shoot during golden hour and an adventurous rocky beach sunset. We were reticent about leaving our guests for long, but he was both quick and fun, gifting us with some moments away from the crowd to let the beauty of the day sink in.

John, our friends and family will be poring over this anthology of photos for years to come. Many have told me they are the best photos they’ve seen of themselves, which I believe is because you captured their genuine joy throughout the day rather than having them pose for endless staged photos. We wanted our wedding to be a place where everyone felt warmly welcomed and completely included; where our American and Scottish guests found connections across cultures. Your pictures captured this warmth and whimsy, crystallizing such perfect moments in our memories. Thank you for not only being AMAZING at what you do, but being a kind person too.

Choosing John was one of the best decisions of our day. Whether you’re looking for moody, romantic photos or bright, joyful ones, you’ve found the right person for the job. We are forever grateful.”

– Allison Burnette Keith, Google Review

Incredible attention to family

“John perfectly captured our day on the 6/6/24. Communication was great and we talked over zoom during the Christmas period then met in person a few weeks before our big day, this put us totally at ease especially for a couple that aren’t ones to be in front of the camera. On the day he was amazing and he blended in with our family and friends so well that you hardly noticed our picture was being taken. He went above and beyond coming to my grandparents house to get pictures with them as they were unable to come to the reception then coming to our family farm for our reception. We received our sneak peak the next day which we were over the moon with and our full album was available quickly.

We couldn’t be any more delighted with how well you captured our day and we will cherish them for the rest of our lives.”
